Overview

Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Planning and Infrastructure Lawyer to join their Dublin office. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a specialised practice, supported by an established international team and the Dublin Real Estate Practice. The role promises significant client interaction and the chance to shape the growth of a dynamic practice.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide expert advice on regulatory consents and consenting processes under various Irish regulatory regimes.
  • Guide clients through environmental impact assessments, planning permissions, judicial review processes, and broader planning and environmental law matters.
  • Collaborate with clients, including developers, investors, public sector bodies, and major companies in the energy sector, to deliver innovative and commercial solutions.
  • Work closely with international colleagues across multiple offices to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Play a key role in business development, building and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team performance.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in planning and consenting law, with a strong track record of providing strategic legal advice.
  • Excellent academic credentials and a deep understanding of Irish planning and environmental law.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop junior team members.
  • A client-focused, solutions-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative legal services.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for expanding knowledge in response to market trends and client needs.
